To A New Beginning

Okay, I found out through means that I will not go into that my boss (in my new job) was reading up on me through my blog site and that pissed me off.

I started blogging as a means to communicate as well as to exorcise some personal demons, so for those who can read between the lines, you can tell a lot about my personal history via my blog. I decided that in the interest of keeping my anonymity and keeping my privacy intact that I will either:

a) keep my blog private and extend invitations to the bloggers who visit my site. (I am sorry but that seemed to be too much work)

b) I could delete my blog and look for another alternative of expression. I did it and realized that by doing so...I am taking away from what makes me fundamentally happy and passing it on to some person who should know better.

c) I could keep my blog but not write about me. Focus on different issues altogether and comment on other blogs if their posts do resonate for me. I am going with this route.

Sorry O!

What this means is that it will take me some time to put up my blog friends list on the site. But hopefully by the end of next week - everything should be back to the way it used to be. I am so sorry.

Hey Ya - Muyiwa

OMG! This is too sad...you know you can't really remove your persona from the blog...that's what makes you different, and that's what makes your blog interesting, I mean writing about real life experiences...but you know what? At the end of the day I am not wearing your 9 inch heels so constructively I should say do whatever makes you happy...I know I'd like to continue reading you blog the way you normally flow but the ISH! Anyway how did your boss get the details? God abeg o!...I'll holler you on FB..

I am kind of sad to hear that but think in the long run you will return to doing what you do best and enjoy. I imagine everyone goes through a self conscious phase when their blog is discovered by people close to them. Some even shut down entirely. I think if you stay and write what you are comfortable with, eventually your blog will satisfy your purpose for it.

eh ya, kpele. i can imagine. so we wont get the real flavour of u anymore. u know i did the same, stopped writing about my personal life and almost quit blogville. but now i'm back and its hard holding my essence back and having to remember not to go into detail. i even took down some really personal posts, not caring that they will never be read by new visitors to my page, but its all for my good.

dont worry, it wil be fine after a while.
